Thanksgiving Prep 3

I hope that everyone had a blessed day yesterday. My day was lovely. DD came over to watch the parade and help with the pies. There are now three pumpkin, two cherry and one grasshopper pie all waiting in the spare fridge for Saturday evening. I hope that will be enough!!

On the schedule for today is all the chopping, sauteing, and assembling that can be done in advance. I like having as much as possible taken care of ahead, so that I’ll have some time to visit with family.

Today is also the day for the first clue of the mystery to be released. I’m sitting here like a kid at Christmas waiting for my present! I’ve been up since 5:00 am checking the Quiltville page, but so far, nothing! I’m hoping that it will be revealed early so that I’ll have a little bit of time to play before I need to buckle down and do the cooking.

I’ve got the fabric all ready. And I’ve done all the prep work for this – machine cleaned and oiled, new blade in rotary cutter, cutting surface cleared off, sewing area tidied up – now I just need a clue!! It seems to me that the clue is usually released at 6:00 am, but other people on Facebook have been saying other times. I’m hoping that is just because they are in a different time zone or some such nonsense.

As I’ve been typing the time has been passing and it is almost 6:00. As soon as the clock turns to 6, I’m going to refresh the Quiltville page.

Well, nuts, it still isn’t there. I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer.

Peace

  1. Well, since I was entering Walmart for a big day of shopping today at 6:00 am, my first Bonnie clue had to wait until almost 6:00 PM because I not only “shopped until I dropped” but I needed a nap before my eyes would even focus on the computer! I’ve got the first clue but I’m afraid it has to wait until tomorrow because all I can manage after shopping today and two days of cooking is a little hand-sewing in my easy chair this evening. Luckily, there are plenty of leftovers for supper tonight or I’m afraid my family would starve. Life is really good!
