Friday evening, after a long day at work, I decided it was time to play with some fabric!! I have been working steadily on getting all the Blue and Cheddar pieces sewn into blocks and I needed to press the block parts before I could continue. But Friday was comparatively hot here and I didn’t want to sit in a stuffy room over a hot iron. So I set up on the front deck.
Ah-h-h-h! How relaxing! I was able to get all the pressing done while enjoying the last of a beautiful day. I had a nice tall glass of ice water with lemon to sip on. There was a gentle breeze blowing and I got one step closer to having all the blocks assembled for the Blue and Cheddar quilt.
On Saturday I was able to complete all the blocks. I now have one hundred blocks that I need to layer with batting and backing, so that I will be able to quilt them all. But I have some other goals that I need to finish before the end of the month, so that will have to wait. In the evening we had a couple places to go. One was a memorial service for a friends father. We went early to pay our respects. Then we went to see our favorite band, Still Brewing Band. Click HERE to see their Facebook page.
Sunday was a quiet day – church in the morning and relaxing the rest of the day.
Now it’s time to jump back on the merry-go-round and get some things done around here!!
