I knew I wasn’t going to get very much done in the studio this weekend. Two of the DGC celebrated birthdays this weekend.
DGC#3 had a “Mudding party” – riding ATV’s and playing outside in the mud. Lots of fun, although the weather was a bit chilly. We kept the fire going to help take the chill off. That was Saturday.
DGC#4 had a quieter and much cleaner party on Sunday. Her dad made chili and I made a pan of cornbread to go with. Yummy!
Now for the monthly goals:
In April, I wanted to:
1) Supervise and participate in getting the Hospice quilt top finished. – DONE! This is all pieced. I still have to make the binding and then my part of the project will be done. The ladies at the Senior Center do the quilting and binding as their contribution to Hospice.
2) Bind Allietare – I want to do the scalloped border that Bonnie suggested. – Not done. – I kept thinking, “I’ll mark that tonight.” but I never did.
3) Kit up and work on blocks for a take along project, if and when DH and I go camping – DONE! – I’ve got red and neutral 2″ strips to sew into nine patches and I’ll set them with chrome yellow squares. Very Pennsylvania Dutch colors. Can’t wait to actually start sewing.
4) 10 more hexie flowers – Someday I’d like to get this project finished!!! – DONE! I made 10 flowers and attached them to the mothership. Woo-Hoo!!
75% completion on the goals. Plus (of course) extra credit. I’ve finished sewing ALL the HST for the Ocean Waves quilt!! And DGC#3 and I have made a lot more foursies to go into charity quilts.
I have a ton of office work that I need to be getting done – maybe I should stop blabbing on here and get to work!
