Bev and Barb and I were able to finally get together for a weekend of sewing!!! We got set up and managed to accomplish quite a bit.
Barb was working on her pink “Talking Turkey” quilt.
She’s making this for her daughter – lucky girl.
Bev worked on two projects: Scrappy Trips and Tumalo Trails
I worked on a number of projects. 1) Made my Christmas exchange block. This is going to get turned in next month at my quilt group meeting. Everyone else that participated will turn in their’s and then we’ll draw a name of one lucky winner to get all the blocks.
2) I quilted and bound my Thanksgiving table runner.
3) I put together the blocks that I won at last year’s Christmas exchange. And actually took a picture of it!
4) I did some hand sewing and made a few more Hexie flowers.
5) With the help of my two favorite enablers, I started another project.
I’ve been collecting light aquas and teals for quite a while. I’ve been thinking about making something with a “sea glass” look to it. But I hadn’t started it because I have so many WIPS. I was trying to be virtuous and get other projects finished before I start something new. Especially because I plan on joining the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt madness at the end of this month! I really don’t NEED ANOTHER PROJECT! !!!!
But doesn’t it look so pretty!?!
What can I say; I’m weak and can’t resist temptation. Especially when Bev and Barb keep urging me to go for it!!!
