I want to thank every one that has been sending positive energy my way. It’s been a rough few weeks, but things are starting to turn around.
First, Mom is making steady progress in her recovery from the surgery. She’s still in a lot of pain, which is to be expected. But she is doing her PT to get back to normal.
Second, things are getting back to “normal” in my household. All the bosses were making a lot of demands on my time, but they’ve slowed down now, so maybe I’ll be able to get back my sewing mojo!
I haven’t really done much lately. I did get some hand sewing of hexies the day of mom’s surgery, but that’s about it.
The only project that got finished during this time wasn’t even mine. DD wanted to make a makeup brush holder. She shopped my stash and did all the sewing herself.
The photo doesn’t really show the pockets that she sewed for each of her brushes, but you get the idea.
I have started some hand embellishment on my Round Robin quilt. I need to get this finished before the 8th of October so I can put it in our quilt show. Wish me luck with that!
