DH and I went for a motorcycle ride yesterday. What a lovely day.
First we rode to Elkins WV to check out the trains.
We didn’t ride on a train yesterday, but maybe someday we will.
We had dinner at a steakhouse in Elkins (I can’t remember the name of it.) then we drove thru Phillipi WV.
Phillipi was the site of the first land battle in the Civil War. It also has a covered bridge which is the only two lane covered bridge in the Federal Highway System.
Then we drove to the Anna Jarvis House, but the museum was closed.
Anna Jarvis, in case you didn’t know, is known as the founder of Mother’s Day.
Then we came home and relaxed the rest of the evening – DH was watching TV through his eyelids and I was trimming the bonus triangles off of my lozenge units. I’m almost finished sewing the corners onto the units and will soon be able to sew the units together. Yippee!!
