It’s that time of year again.
Time for me to begin ranting about the ridiculousness of having Christmas decorations out before Halloween.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I love Christmas, but I hate seeing the hype for it starting earlier and earlier. The stores are so busy pushing us to spend our money that they get more and more aggressive with they’re advertising. And, of course, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they are starting “Black Friday” on Thursday! For Pete’s sake, can people just stay home for one day and be thankful for all the blessings in their life!?!
I really just want to celebrate one holiday at a time and right now I’m thinking about Thanksgiving. I don’t plan on putting up any Christmas decorations until after I do that. I heard on the news this morning that they want tweets showing off your Christmas decorations. I’m NOT going to be participating in that!!!
Well, I know my little rant isn’t going to make much difference in the whole scheme of things, but I had to get it off my chest. If you’re one of the people that loves to spend three months with Christmas decorations in your house, that’s fine! It’s just not for me. Don’t call me a Scrooge just because I want to enjoy each holiday in it’s turn.
So, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Oh, and I’ll give you hint about another rant I might have:
