All the planets must have been in alignment and all the positive energy was coming my way.
I was able to get two fair size projects done all in one weekend!!
On Saturday DH and I tackled the storage locker:
This was in the house when we bought it and has been sitting in the furnace room waiting for us to decide what to do with it. We finally decided that we would spruce it up a little. Sorry, no before photos. But take my word for it, it was in pretty bad shape!! After a lot of elbow grease, scrubbing off years of dust and dirt, we spray painted it “Hammered Black” and put it in the “Man Cave” beside the entry door. It will be the perfect spot to store hats, gloves, shoes, etc.
Then on Sunday, I was able to spend most of the day in the sewing studio:
I added sashing strips to the nine patch blocks. I thought of setting them like Bonnie Hunter’s “Dancing Nines” but instead opted for a regular grid. I may call this done as a large lap quilt (it’s about 58″ x 72″ right now) or I may add borders to make it a twin size – I haven’t decided yet.

O-o-o-o-h!!! I was looking for an inspirational quote to end with and found this:
I feel like Superman trying to get away from Kryptonite – “Must. Not. Start. New. Project. Must. Finish. Others. First.”
Almost forgot to include the link where I found this: Click HERE
And, now for the quote:
