Well, I hope all the moms out there had a great Mother’s Day. I know I did. DH stepped up to the plate and really did good. First I got breakfast served to me (I woke up about an hour before him, so it wasn’t breakfast in bed!) After church, he and the kiddos cooked a wonderful dinner – Glazed salmon fillets, marinated chicken breast, baked potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, tossed salad, rolls and Black Magic chocolate cake for dessert. Okay, I made the cake the day before, but it was served to me instead of me serving everyone else!!
After dinner, we all got a chance to sit and visit for a while. Then DD needed to leave with her boyfriend so that he could visit his mom. DS#3 and DS#2 decided that they wanted to go for a motorcycle ride since it was such a lovely day. Mom, DH and I just chilled in the living room watching TV and (me) sewing hexies.
It would have been really great if DS#1 and his family could have been there, but they were all in various stages of fighting or recovering from colds/flu/illness. Poor things, I hope they are all recovering now.
After such a wonderful day yesterday, today I feel like this:
But I’m going to drag myself around and try to get some office work caught up before DH gets back home and finds something that he needs me to help with!!!
