In my backyard

Since I wasn’t able to get any sewing done yesterday, I, once again, do not have anything quilt related to talk about. This is getting a little frustrating. I have so many ideas for quilts that I’d like to make. And now I have a long arm quilter to get the quilting done faster. And all I seem to be doing is other stuff!!!

The agenda for today is preserving the last of the tomatoes that were in the backyard garden:

I promised I’d make some salsa, so I guess that is what I’m going to do.

We had a light frost last night, so the garden is now finished. DH picked the last of the tomatoes and peppers, so I won’t have any more garden produce to process after this. Yippee!!

Also in my backyard last night was this beauty:

Isn’t he gorgeous!! He took his time going from the apple trees over to the “pond” for a drink, then meandering across the yard and over the hill. It’s one of the perks of living in the country, to get to see things like this.

  1. Guess we know where DH will be hunting! We had a light frost too. Hopefully the grass will stop growing and we can be done mowing for the year.

I had so much fun at our retreat on Sunday. I hope to continue making more peces for my Bonnie quilt this week.
