Yesterday I had every intention of getting down and dirty in the studio. I was going to bury stuff in a big, black trash bag, so that it would be GONE! I was going to gather all the magazines and get them bundled up to go. I was going to sort through boxes and decide what was going to stay and what was going to go. In short, I was going to be a cleaning maniac and the studio was going to look SO much better!!
But then I had to go up to the barn to feed animals. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and a warm breeze was blowing. I just couldn’t resist. I had to spend my time outside. So I spent most of the day raking twigs and leaves that had accumulated over the winter. I decided that I’d still get some work done in the studio after supper.
But then two of the DGC came here after school because their dad had to work late at a job. DH came up with a wonderful plan – we would all go to a local Mexican restaurant for supper! Well, Yay!, I love Mexican AND I didn’t have to cook or clean up!! Sounds like a great plan! So off we went, in the Camaro (remind me that I need to clean all the foot prints off the upholstery). The grandchildren had never eaten Mexican, so they were a little unsure about the whole thing. But they decided that they liked that restaurant and wanted to come back again.
Then DH thought about a job that he has on his list, that he needed to take a look at. So we all went for a little side trip to check that out. Now, let me be clear about one thing – I love my grandchildren to pieces!! But spending a lot of time cooped up in a Camaro with them is not high on my “Love to do it” list!!! So by the time we got back home, and the grandchildren were picked up by their father, all I wanted to do was sit down and vegetate!!!
Which is why I have nothing to report as a WIP for today. At least, nothing new! I still have Bedford Beauty to work on and the strips are cut for the pink and purple quilt. But I didn’t get any sewing done yesterday. Worse yet, I didn’t get any cleaning done in the studio either. I’m hoping I can get some of the things on my list worked on today.
