Rambling Thoughts

I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants sort of blogger!

(Yep! That’s me getting ready to fly by the seat of my pants!! Don’t I look dashing in my uniform!)

1) Very occasionally I know exactly what I want to say and how I want to say it.
2) Sometimes I have a general topic idea, but don’t know what I’m actually going to say.
3) Most days I have no idea what I am going to write about until I sit down at the computer.

Today is the latter. When I can’t think of an idea, yet alone all the words that I want to put down on (virtual) paper.

I usually catch up on the blogs that I like to follow on days like this. I try to see what others are blogging about in order to give me some idea of what I would like to blog about. Well, darn it, everyone else seems to be finishing stuff and I am no where near getting something done. I don’t even have much progress to report on the Bonnie quilt. All I was able to manage yesterday was sewing the top row of the units together. I need to sew the other two rows, then press them all, then sew the rows together before I have completed blocks. And then that project will go to the back of the line while I work on the jelly roll quilt. No finishes there.

Then I thought maybe I could come up with something about unfinished projects. But once I reached seventy-two on my list of UFO’s (or WIP’s, as I like to call them), I was so depressed that I gave up on that idea.

I thought I might post about the new, handy-dandy, Easy Angle Half Square Triangle ruler. I think it is my new favorite way to make half square triangles! I really like it! But then I would have to tell you that I am starting another project using the NHDEAHST ruler. I was too embarrassed to admit that, on top of the 72 WIP’s I already have, I am starting another (ANOTHER) quilt!!! Oops! I guess I let that cat out of the bag. And it’s one I want would like to finish before Christmas!!

I guess I am going to leave you with this. I saw this post on Quilting Blogs today and thought it was inspiring:
