Today I’m taking mom to another Dr. appointment. If all goes well, this should be the last trip to a doctor’s office for a while. I think I speak for mom, as well as myself, when I say that I hope she can avoid going to any doctor or hospital for a long time!!
I did work on the Disappearing Nine Patch quilt last night. I’ve got all the strips sewn together. The next step is to press, then sub-cut all my strips and sew them together to make the Nine Patch. Don’t know if I’ll get much of that done today.
I found a You Tube video of Eleanor Burns giving a demonstration of “Tossed Nine Patch” It’s basically the same thing I’m doing, with a few differences.
She is starting with 5″ squares and my squares are only 3 1/2″ (my strips are that wide and then I sub-cut the strip sets to 3 1/2″) And she is making her blocks even more random than mine. But she is laying them out the same way that I am. Also, Eleanor is just fun to listen to – she sounds SO happy all the time!
